Introduction:

We know that you probably hate lengthy terms and worse yet; contracts. We get it! We flipping hate them too. Our intention is not to overwhelm you with long complicated legal mumbo jumbo. Instead, we just need to make sure we all on the same page. These terms and conditions apply to your use of our services.

The Service:

We provide a fixed price laundry service subscription. This is a monthly fee, and you will be billed on the day of subscribing to the service and again, on the first of each calendar month. We collect, wash, iron, pack and deliver your laundry unlimited times per month.

Legality:

A legal contract is concluded at the time when you’ve made payment for the monthly subscription. Entering into such an agreement will imply that you agree with these terms of use.

Cancellation:

We’d love to stay friends forever. However, we do understand that sometimes it is time to say goodbye. So no hard feelings. No need to pay any cancellation fee. Just login to your account and swipe to Pause your subscription. This option is accessible at any time however if not actioned before the 1st of next calendar month, a debit will be instructed and no refunds will be processed from thereon.

Damages:

Although we do our best to prevent any damages to your garment, unfortunately, every garment, regardless of brand or quality, will wear out over time, and there is nothing Folded can do to predict when this will happen, or prevent it. For damage related to normal wear and tear, Folded does not provide reimbursement or compensation. Per industry standards, the following are considered to be normal wear and tear: Shrinkage from repeated laundering, Curtain shrinkage, Color fading, Small holes or tears, Discoloration caused by hygiene or beauty products (deodorant, perfume, cologne), Button damage, Thinning of fabric.

Billing:

When you subscribe, the full subscription value of the plan you opt for is debited. If the subscription is activated after the 25th of the month, it would qualify for a pro-rata rate that is deemed equitable based on a few factors including your usage for the month. On the first of each month, if your subscription is active, we will run a debit for the full subscription value OR a pro-rata rate if qualified. If a pro-rata rate is qualified, it is charged on the second calendar month and not on your initial subscription month. 

Fair Usage:

As much as we offer unlimited laundry cleans, our service is governed by our Fair Usage policy which simply states that an ordinary person cleans their laundry 4 times a month (every weekend). This is covered within our Fair Usage Policy, we have even extended it to up to 8 times a month (double the normal usage).

Our system also looks at the previous month's usage to determine if you qualify for more pickups, in months you need the service more than usual (6 - 10 times). Essentially, a customer that uses the system less in month 1 will qualify for more usage in month 2.

On the first pickup, our driver will bring a Folded Laundry Bag which has a capacity of 40l or a typical domestic sized laundry basket (up to 7kg) for your use.
